One thing that I have figured out since becoming pregnant is that there’s just not many maternity options out there. While I am still in most of my regular, non-maternity clothes, I have been really mindful when buying new pieces for the upcoming Fall season. The other thing that I have noticed about most maternity lines is the price.. WOWZA. It is really expensive. So what I have been doing when shopping around is stepping outside of my comfort zone and trying on different sizes and playing around with different patterns and styles.
I picked up this bump-friendly top from a newer brand that I have seen at Walmart. It is Time and Tru and is super cute and affordable! I picked up this peplum top (in multiple colors) for just $9.96! What. A. Steal. I picked this up in a size Medium. I would recommend to size down if you’re not expecting or if you like your clothes to be a little more form fitting. This top fit me loosely and I have plenty of room to wear it throughout my pregnancy.
I normally stick to black leggings, but when I tried on these super soft, high-waisted Roz & ALI wide band leggings from Dressbarn, I couldn’t resist. For size reference, I am 5’5” and around 140 lbs. pre-pregnancy. I normally wear size Mediums, 6 or 8’s. In these leggings, I picked up a size medium and I think I will have plenty of room to grow in the months to come.
This combo can easily be worn to work or dressed down to run errands or a day-date on the weekend. I paired it up with my go-to Steve Madden Daisie pumps in nude. They are so versatile and seriously go with anything.
As for my necklace; I absolutely love this piece. I have had it for a couple of years and it goes with so many different pieces that I have. It’s from Stella & Dot and I loved it so much, I went back and picked it up in silver.
